WBro Ian Johnson has taken to life as Master of Claygate Lodge as if he has done it many times over, whereas it is in fact his first time in the chair. He presided over two small but exceptionally enjoyable meetings to start his tenure; the first being a demonstration of the first degree (many thanks to Bro Clive Fennell for being such a good sport and acting as candidate!), and the second being a meeting more focussed on refreshment than labour. WBro Ian's clear vision of an expanded social programme for the lodge was warmly received, and we look forward to a year of varied and enjoyable events.
