Hosted by Serving Master, John Siviter an eclectic mix of Lodge members, Masonic acquaintances personal friends and ex Roya Naval colleagues enjoyed a splendid lunch at the Union Jack Club on Friday 8th November.
Fine food and fine wine were enjoyed by all.
A fundraising event in aid of Help for Hero’s, an inspirational after dinner talk was given by H4H Ambassador Jamie Hull. He described his experience of crash landing the burning aircraft he was piloting and his long fight back from multiple fractures and major burns.
Informal anecdotes of military service in the British armed forces immediately following the second world war were recounted by some of the senior members.
A raffle and charity collection were taken which raised in the region of £350. This will be added to funds already raised for a single sum to be given to H4H in the new year.
