Memory Walk - pains Hill Park 8th October

Lodge member Ian Johnson and his family put their walking boots on, girded their loins and took part in the Memory Walk, organised by the Alzheimers Society, at Painshill Park, Cobham.

There was an option to walk any distance between 2 – 7km ( 1.24 – 4.34 miles) to cater for all levels of fitness.

Ian and his family were walking in memory of his mother who passed away earlier this year after succumbing to this very debilitating disease.

Sadly, Ian had a call from the hospital halfway through the second lap of the Park, and had to shorten the walk and rush up to Kingston Hospital where his Dad passed away later that afternoon.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Ian and his family.
