Nearly twenty members and guests attended the annual 'New Year' supper held at The Barley Mow, Hersham last evening. Current Master, John Siviter arranged for us to have the dining room to ourselves, food was good and we were very well served by the staff. Great to see so many of our newer members in attendance and taking an active part in the social side of the Lodge. A raffle was held which raised further money for the charities which we support.
Claygate members turned out in force at Surbiton last night for new member Brian's 2nd Degree ceremony which was expertly carried out by the Master and brethren of Lambourn Lodge No.8733. An excellent Festive Board followed during which the usual toasts were proposed and our own Lionel Frewin responded to the visitors toast on behalf of Claygate Lodge. Many thanks to Lambourn for the warmth of their welcome and for making the event so memorable for Brian.
